About us
Our Mission
To ensure dignity, support and education are provided to caregivers of people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia related diseases so they are never alone on their journey.
Partnering with passionate expert consultants, and through direct engagement within the community, Gordie Howe CARES has developed a network where shared experiences help to design specialized caregiver tools and resources.
Through the development of a caregiver support application, and personalized and practical expert guidance, Gordie Howe CARES stands with caregivers in the moments when support is needed most.
With this in mind, the Gordie Howe CARES effort and initiatives focus on three key pillars.
Expansion of CAPS and caregiver support offerings, increasing accessibility for families at all stages of dementia.
Support
Investment in education, awareness, and early intervention, ensuring individuals and families can access meaningful support earlier than ever before through programs such as Ripples of Care and expanded community outreach.
Education
Ongoing support for research, including continued collaboration with the CAN-Protect study.
